  • Hail up to 2 inches

  • Severe pressure forces


Unlike traditional code, FORTIFIED standards are based on decades of forensic storm research and full-scale wind testing in the only facility in the world that can simulate real hurricane conditions.

Why Building Code Isn’t Enough


Florida Building Code sets the baseline for construction and safety requirements.


But the building code alone:

  • Represents minimum compliance

  • Tends to be improved only after major storm failures and those improvements take years to identify and put into practice

  • Doesn’t always eliminate known weak points


Storm with winds as low as 50 mph can cause serious roof damage. Once water enters the home, repair costs escalate quickly.
