Residential Roofing Material Price Increases Announced for 2026: What Homeowners Need to Know
Over the past few weeks, most major roofing manufacturers have issued formal price increase bulletins affecting residential roofing products nationwide.
Here’s a quick summary of what has been announced (Many others have also announced increases but these are the most significant in the Florida market):
TAMKO: 4–5% increase on residential roofing and waterproofing products, effective March 23, 2026
Owens Corning: 5–8% increase on shingles and roofing accessories, effective April 1, 2026
GAF: 5–8% increase on all residential roofing products, effective April 15, 2026
CertainTeed: Up to 8% increase on residential roofing products, effective April 15, 2026
IKO Metals: 7% increase on Decra and Tilcor product lines, effective January 1, 2026

What’s Driving These Increases?
Manufacturers have cited rising production and supply chain costs as the primary drivers behind these adjustments. This pattern is not new. Over the past five years, similar annual cost adjustments have unfortunately become standard across the roofing industry.
Material pricing in roofing is closely tied to petroleum-based products, freight, labor, and global supply chain pressures. Incremental annual increases have effectively become the “new normal”.
Unfortunately, when one manufacturer makes the announcement virtually every other major competitor generally follows suit. Further, while these outside forces are cited, we have yet to see pricing come down as a particular supply chain market improves or stabilizes.
What This Means for Homeowners…
Material costs are one of the largest components of a roofing project. When manufacturers raise prices 5–8%, that inevitably affects contractors in Central Florida and across the state.
At 4D Roofing & Restoration, we do everything we can to remain competitive and provide the best possible pricing to our customers regardless of supply chain increases.
